Continental Filters has its roots in Austria where Hans Inschick started an oil filtration service in his native town of Villach, Carinthia, a province of Austria, some 9 years ago.
From humble beginnings he was able to build a successful business, providing his service to the local industries such as saw mills, quarries, plastics industry and others. He emigrated to South Africa in 2005 and decide to re-start his oil filtration idea here in Gauteng. One of major economic consideration was the size of the industrial complex in Gauteng, which is n-times larger than the size of the business found back in Austria.
Richard Wohlrab, the other member of the Close Corporation, joined from the start, and the business of marketing the service commenced. We have since had been able to introduce our service to companies like Dunlop, Nampak and others - see references.
